Defeated.

They lay on the floor face down, their sweat making puddles in the dust and dirt on the floor,

Their crossed wrists had been tied with rope and pushed up their backs to their necks.  The elbows and forearms were lashed together.

Their cries of agony were silenced by rags shoved into their mouths and taped around their heads.

Pulled by their hair to their knees and pushed together chest to chest their bodies were bound together with rope.

They pushed the bound brothers onto their sides,
and bound their legs.

Bending their legs back, their ankles were tied to their necks.

The brothers stared into each other terrified eyes and sweaty faces grimaced with pain...

When their eyes were ductaped.

The brothers squirmed for hours
trying to free themselves, their numb fingers
desperately searching for any knots, but
to no avail.

Exhausted, cramped and numb
they lay still... defeated....
feeling each other's heart beats,
their sweat pooling together,
listening to each others deep groans.
