Eighteen year old Stew Jensen and his 20 year old older brother Jake put their arms behind their backs and turned around. One of Mike O'Rourke's brothers tightly tied their wrists with pieces of hemp rope. Taking Stew over his shoulder, he dumped him in the back of the truck, shoved a rag into his mouth, taped it, tied his ankles together and then to his wrists. In few minutes his older brother was hogtied and gagged next to him. They rolled the cover and closed it over them, plunging them into darkness. They sun beat down on the black over as the truck treked for hours, roasting the brothers as their sweaty bodies bounced into each others.
They pulled my left leg and spread it so it was tied t the upright. They tied my right leg to my brother's and spread his right leg to the other upright. We were strung up, spread eagled in the hot sun!
Then they closed the gate and moved off a distance, holding their rifles. I figured this was it. They were just going to kill us here. Better then being left hanging under the hot desert sun!!!
The shot rung out. It gazed my side burning my ribs! He was a crack shot.... just close enough for the bullet to gaze our skin and form rivulets of blood mingling with our sweat coming down our sides.
Then I realized what their plan was.
They were not planning to kill us! Rather, with our wrists, arms and necks burning from the ropes, our ribs on fire, our torsos frying in the sun, legs cramped....
They filmed us.
And left us -- not knowing if anyone would ever find us alive!
