Jeremy, Jeff and James Jenkins were the sons of Jeremiah Jenkins, who owned the local bank, and controlled most of what happened in Jaysburg. One evening the brothers went out joyriding in the woods on their ATV's. They had their private security guards with them, but unknown to them, the guards had formed a plan to kidnap the young men for ransom, since their father was miserly, and paid the guards a pittance. Once in the woods, the guards sprung their trap and kidnapped the brothers. They cuffed all three, then bound 18 year old Jeremy and beat him and gagged him. They then did the same with 20 year old Jeff and 23 year old James, with everything captured on video. The video was then sent to Mr. Jenkins, with a demand for $5 million dollars for each of the sons safe return. To alleviate suspicion, the guards left the sons in the custody of another member of the group, while they returned to Mr. Jenkins to report the abductions. They even had their accomplice beat them up a little so that Mr. Jenkins wouldn't suspect their participation. Mr. Jenkins was irate, and not only refused to pay the ransom, but he fired the guards! He also enlisted the help of his brother, the local sheriff, in trying to find the boys. He failed, because the captors had anticipated this, and had moved the captives to another wooded area in the next state.
One of the guards, John Coldiani, approached the captives with an accomplice who had a videocamera. "Well, boys, your daddy's being a real asshole! I guess it's time for phase two!"
He then ordered the captives hung by their arms from the ceiling of the old barn. He made sure their feet were a good two feet off the ground. He had their gags removed. He then ordered ten pound weights hung from each ankle, stretching the boys. As they screamed in pain from the stretching, he smiled into the camera. "OK, Jenkins, your boys are gonna be left like this until you reply to this video. Oh, the price just went up, too! Now it'll cost you $7 million for each brat's safe return."
